About, Vision and Mission
Legal Mizan was founded by Mustapha .Ch a Moroccan/South African lawyer and he is the current director of Legal Mizan.
The aim of Legal Mizan is to help organizations in the Middle East and North Africa and the extended African and Muslim world deploy AI responsibly, resolve disputes fairly and provide Shariah services. That extends to also ptoviding educational material.
Mustapha completed five years of studying in South Africa, holding both a Certificate in legal studies (1 year) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (4 years). His diverse professional background spans the public and private sectors, including valuable experience within Parliament, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), specialized NGOs like ProBono.Org, his universities law clinic, 2 small litigation firms and a medium size debt collection firm. As well as experience in running his own legal AI tech start up business.
He has experience in building apps, websites and training AI hence his passion for technology and innovation.
He also has experience in education such as mentoring, tutoring, providing free and paid courses and educational material around numerous fields and developing educational apps and websites.
His vision and mission is to ensure that organisations use AI and thrid parties data in accordance with the Shariah and local statutory law, encourage people to seek conflict resolution out of court following shariah principles and to make shariah services available for everyone.
Future ambitions, we hope to achieve to have fully and well established and highly capable shariah and ADR clinic able to assist those who cant afford access to justice.
